About Us

Born and raised in Shelby, North Carolina, Janie attended Crest High School before going on to Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina, on a basketball scholarship. Janie's passion for floral design led her to open her first flower shop, Williams Florist, in Charlotte. For nearly two decades, Janie has been a fixture in the Charlotte community, creating stunning floral arrangements for countless occasions. Williams Florist opened a new shop in Shelby, North Carolina, earlier this year. Janie's success in floral design is due, in no small part, to her mother, who was a creative force in her life. Janie's mother instilled in her a love of design and encouraged her to pursue her dreams. With her mother's inspiration and support, Janie has grown Williams Florist into one of the premier flower shops in the Charlotte area.
